On April 30, 2023, Ruth was involved in a road accident that resulted in a below-knee amputation. During her healing journey, she felt a deep calling to amplify the voices of persons with disabilities (PWDs) and challenge the narratives surrounding disability.
Through her experiences, Ruth discovered that when a PWD is empowered, employed, or actively pursuing their goals, society begins to see them beyond their disability and treat them with dignity. This realization inspired her to motivate and uplift PWDs, striving to bridge the gap and create a world where disabilities are not a limitation, but a source of strength.
